In a statement, the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) instructed Patanjali to refrain from advertising or publicising such claims until they were examined. "Ministry of AYUSH has been taken cognizance of the information being flashed in the media about Ayurvedic medicines made for treatment of COVID-19 by Patanjali Ayurveda. Facts of the claim and details of the stated scientific study are not recognised to the Ministry," the statement said.
